Biography

It's all about the energy we share.

Kevin Deelay - born in Sweden, with rhythm running through his veins. His journey began around age 10, after countless hours exploring his father's tapes and vinyl. When he finally got his own front-loaded desktop CD player, Kevin began experimenting - even building his own custom cable so he could play CDs and tapes simultaneously through his stereo. That DIY spirit was the spark that lit the fire.

Nothing could stop him

Kevin's fascination only deepened when he attended the school discos. While others danced and snacked on popcorn, he stood by the DJ booth, studying every move - how the music was mixed seamlessly from track to track. By the age of 15, he had gathered enough equipment to work as a mobile DJ, with speakers, and lighting effects.

With few friends and little encouragement, opportunities were scarce. When he was reluctantly invited to home parties, Kevin would haul his gear along, eager to share what he had learned - but most of the time, no one paid attention. His dedication often set him apart, leading to bullying and ridicule whenever he spoke about his dreams.

That all changed in the early 2000s. At 18, Kevin landed his first official gig at Swedish Gothenburg Talent. His set was well received, showcasing his growing skill behind the decks. Soon after, bookings at larger discos and events followed. He had developed a reputation for smooth mixing, blending commercial hits with underground house tracks that few others dared to play.

To stay close to the culture, Kevin took a job in a music store specializing in DJ gear - a chance to connect with like-minded people while expanding his technical knowledge. In 2001, he enrolled in a music production and studio program, where he created original tracks and worked as a sound engineer for high school shows, sharpening both his creative and technical sides.

Addicted to the Groove

The underground sound was what spoke to Kevin most. In 2002, a visit to the now-legendary Swedish nightclub Docklands opened new doors and connections in the music scene, inspiring him to pursue a deeper path. Soon, he was playing in nightclubs around his hometown, steadily building his presence.

Around 2004, Kevin took things into his own hands, organizing underground parties in forests and abandoned warehouses. Over the next years, he built not only a following but a movement - becoming one of the leading organizers of underground raves and parties in Sweden. His events brought DJs and crowds together in raw, unforgettable settings, and his name quickly became synonymous with the country's underground scene.

At this time, new friendships introduced him to the world of production. Having been focused purely on events and DJing, the idea of creating music sparked his curiosity. He experimented with Reason, producing a few tracks and bootlegs, but ultimately his passion still burned brightest behind the decks.

Meanwhile, Kevin stayed tuned into the global scene, following international weekly radio shows. Always aware of what was happening worldwide, he pushed himself to bring that same energy into his sets in Sweden - matching the global underground sound with his own unique style.

Homeless but passionate

In 2005, Kevin launched his first 'Party & Production' company, designing and producing unforgettable events - always with a camera in hand. In Sweden's underground party scene, he was known for his passion, perfectionism, and relentless drive to push boundaries.

After also working with building stages at festivals for some years, he gigs at the nightclubs decreased. The restaurateurs thought that the music was too non commercial. At the same time, there were more things that went wrong in Kevin's life, that led to that he was evicted from his apartment, and became homeless.

After years of hitting rock bottom - living on the streets with nothing but a bag of clothes - Kevin made a decision: to rebuild his life. His passion for music was too strong to abandon. While working for an event company, he focused on regaining stability, creating a home, and keeping the dream of one day producing music in his own studio alive.

By 2013, Kevin had built a home unlike anything he had ever known, a symbol of his comeback. The following year, he traveled to Ibiza to fully immerse himself in the world of music. Summer 2014 marked another unique moment: Kevin gained notoriety not only as a DJ but also for his creativity beyond the booth. Using Lego, he constructed a detailed replica of the Ushuaïa Beach Hotel.

“I love this traveling life, and seeing a happy audience - but I also need to challenge my brain in other ways to gain perspective. Ibiza has always fascinated me, and the reaction of the owner when he saw the construction was unforgettable.”

A year later, Kevin built his first real music studio, dove into new production software, and decided to focus fully on creating music. His passion gravitated toward tech house and techno - the genres that had always resonated with him most.

“I don't really see it as making music, for me, it's about combining impressions from all the places I visit. Some people write blogs, some take photos - I capture my thoughts in sound, wherever I am.”

An artistic visionary

As a self-proclaimed perfectionist with an obsessive passion for details, content, and fresh concepts, Kevin brought once again his vision to life in 2017 with the creation of Vibe Crib .
This groundbreaking concept took the underground scene by storm, unlike anything Sweden had ever seen - especially with the level of investment and passion behind it. Today, Vibe Crib is a key part of Kevin's life, and stands as an internationally recognized brand, credited with launching and shaping the careers of countless artists, solidifying Kevin's legacy as a true innovator.

With a rich, global background in events, club culture, music, video production, and art creations , Kevin is more than just a DJ and organizer - he's a visionary who creates experiences beyond tomorrow's expectations.

"It's not about likes, or followers. I'm not here to chase the spotlight, or watch phones light up like a fucking constellation. When I create, it's for the energy we share, with pure vibes."
